Meet Me

Sometime around the age of 10 my uncle gave me a sketchbook and a set of pencils. I'd already been drawing constantly with beginner and child supplies, crayons and number two pencils and such.
I took up those higher quality supplies and pretty much never put them down.
Creating art, for me, is deeply rooted in my soul. I paint from the heart, for emotional release. My work is therapeutic. It's self reflection on paper and canvas. It's rarely seen in public, not because I hide myself, because I don't create for profit first.
My art is a journal, how I document my life. I tend to create more finalized work in bursts. Life events can spark big emotion. When impactful enough, I create a series of expression.
If you were to look at my artworks (including abandoned pieces) in chronological order from the past 10 years or so, you could see the progression of my mental state or how I feel about current life situation: I've devolved deeper into depression, followed by a rebirth, then what feels like life chaos. Some of these overlap.
I've displayed some of the major series of work here in reverse chronological order. Each series page tells the story of my life at the time they were created.
