Peonies symbolize love, honor, and happiness and given to express joy and best wishes. Right where I am and hope to be. 

Since the beginning of 2025 I feel like my life has been on a positive upturn. The divorce a year and a half final and tensions quelled. After nearly a year of unemployment from my corporate design day job, I realized what I really wanted to do with my life and to follow my passions. This series expresses my joy, growth, and happiness I've finally found within myself. 

The Peonies series is an exploration in style and medium. I wanted to get back to painting on canvas after years of working in watercolor. In my art, and life, I'm finding my style, my goals, and my intrinsic joy.
