Hello there.

pic of me from News Tribune.jpg

Sometime around age 10 my uncle gave me a sketchbook and a set of nice pencils. I'd already been drawing constantly with beginner and child supplies, crayons and number two pencils and such.
I took up those higher quality supplies and pretty much never put them down.

In 2004 I graduated from Northwest College of Art, a small art school on a farm in Poulsbo, WA. Shortly after I began a career in web design, animation, advertising, and user experience where I spent nearly 20 years. During that time I worked on my art on the side.

Creating art, for me, is a deeply rooted part of my self. I paint from the heart, for emotional release. My work is a therapeutic self reflection on paper and canvas.

My art is a journal, how I document my life. I tend to create more finalized work in bursts, when life events spark big emotion. I don't create for audience first.

If you were to look at my artworks (including abandoned pieces) in chronological order from the past 10 years or so, you could see the how I felt during current life experiences. Each series page tells the story of my life at the time they were created.
